The ABMR Executive Committee solicits nominations for new members each year. Please consider nominating a colleague who you think would make outstanding contributions to the Academy. The deadline is Friday, October 22, 2021.
The criteria for eligibility are as follows. The nominee will:
(a) Have made a significant contribution to his or her field, and influenced the work of other scientists, as evidenced by widely cited peer reviewed publications, grants, and editorial boards, or senior administrative roles that have significantly advanced the field; and, (b) Hold the rank of associate professor or higher, or hold a
comparable rank, if not an academic.
Please help us grow! ABMR is committed to enhancing the diversity of our membership (including diversity of race/ethnicity, LGBT, and disabilities. In addition, we encourage the nomination of new members who are from a broad range of disciplines relevant to behavioral medicine. New members should attend the meeting the year they are elected, and more importantly, should be invested in
ABMR and interested in attending somewhat regularly.
Supporting documentation must include a copy of the nominee's CV and at least one letter of nomination from a current Academy member. The letter should address the nominee's contributions to the field and suitability for membership in ABMR, like a shortened version of a letter of promotion to a higher academic rank.
