The Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research is a high level invite-only meeting of senior experts in behavioral medicine, that has a high impact on research trajectories, both for individuals and the field. For 2020, our annual conference is focusing on the integration of behavioral medicine and geroscience, with a phenomenal line up of speaker. We have an NIH R13 conference grant to support the inclusion of 10 early career investigators. We invite self-nominations, and encourage you to share this with young investigators you think would benefit. We seek nominations from scholars underrepresented in biomedical research, particularly minorities and women, as well other types of diversity (disability, LGBT). The criteria will be 1) potential for leadership and innovation in behavioral medicine 2) interest in aging research and 3) ideally holding either K award, first R01, or the equivalent, and typically Assistant Professor rank.
The award includes accommodations and meals for 4 nights at 1440 (June 24-28), free registration, and $500 toward travel. It also includes leadership training with Dr. Norm Anderson, and mentoring by well matched ABMR members. Please have interested candidates send these 3 items in one PDF to Elena Fromer, firstname.lastname@example.org by January 15th, 2020.
